About Me

Hi, I’m Nyxie Underwood, though most people know me as Nyx. I was born in a coastal city in West Florida, but my family later relocated to Central Florida to provide my siblings and me with better educational opportunities. I’ve lived in Central Florida ever since, and I’m currently attending the University of Central Florida (Go Knights!).

At UCF, I’m an active member of the Fashion Society, which has been instrumental in elevating my modeling career and inspiring me to explore new creative heights.

My Journey Into Fashion

My first introduction to the world of beauty and fashion came as a child when my mom entered me in a few beauty pageants. Although those experiences were short-lived, they planted a seed that would grow later in life. For a long time, I struggled to find a passion beyond sports. However, during my senior year of high school, my interest in fashion and makeup reignited. From designing and styling clothes for myself and my friends to experimenting with new looks, I quickly became captivated by the art of self-expression through fashion.

Japanese fashion, in particular, resonated deeply with me. I adore Elegant Gothic styles, though I’m just as comfortable rocking jeans and sneakers. One of my favorite creative outlets is upcycling clothing—I love transforming items like a holey shirt into something beautiful and unique.

Experience

So far, I’ve modeled for the iconic Harajuku fashion brand 6%DOKIDOKI and appeared in a music video where I combined acting and modeling. I also have several exciting projects lined up with the UCF Fashion Society, and I’m eager to continue expanding my portfolio in the years to come.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me—I can’t wait to see what’s next on this journey!
